Ramadhan Tradition in Kwitang: Thousands of Worshippers Attend Mass Breaking of Fast at Al-Awwabin Mosque

Congregants participated in a mass breaking of the fast during Ramadhan at Al-Awwabin Mosque in Kwitang, Jakarta, on Saturday 14 March 2026. The mass breaking of fast, held at the religious study circle founded by Habib Ali, was attended by approximately 1,000 worshippers from various areas throughout Jakarta. The event is held annually on the 25th night of Ramadhan, coinciding with the khataman Al-Quran (Quranic recitation completion ceremony) at the mosque. Congregants performed the Maghrib prayer following the breaking of the fast.
