Jakarta, Indonesia — Ramadhan 2026 became a significant moment for Pertamina. Under the theme “Energy to Move Forward with Hope,” Pertamina Group initiated various humanitarian activities and distributed aid to more than 29,000 orphan children.

Additionally, Pertamina distributed food assistance packages to nearly 106,000 underprivileged members of the public throughout Indonesia.

Chief Executive Officer Pertamina Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated that this moment was not merely an expression of social activity, but also an opportunity to spread goodwill energy, strengthen community bonds, and share happiness, with Pertamina being present alongside the Indonesian people.

“The best of humanity is one who is most beneficial to others. Pertamina spreads benefits to society, nation, and the State of Indonesia,” said Simon during the breaking of fast meal with orphan children at Grha Pertamina, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

No matter how large a company is, he said, without providing goodwill and benefits to society, its presence becomes meaningless. For this reason, Pertamina continuously strives to be present, not only delivering energy, but also conveying blessings.

Simon added that the spirit of sharing goodwill demonstrated by Pertamina is expected to be sustained. When one good deed is performed, the energy of goodwill does not disappear but continues to develop. The presence of orphan children was also felt to be a great source of energy for Pertamina.

“This is what we believe: goodwill spread today will become positive energy that continues to flow and bring blessings,” he said.

He hopes that the spirit of goodwill continues to grow within the Pertamina Group environment, such that being part of Pertamina is not only about working, but also about becoming an individual who brings benefits to others.

The Orphan Child Aid and Social Assistance Programme is conducted by various Pertamina Group entities throughout Indonesia. In total, 29,634 children and 105,982 underprivileged members of the public participated in the aid distribution and iftar celebration together, solemnly accompanied by Pertamina management, in their respective regions.

Beyond this, throughout Ramadhan, Pertamina conducted various social programmes. Among these is Pertamina Sharing Happiness (Berkah), an activity involving education, religious guidance and engagement with the community.

Pertamina Group also initiated activities to distribute and channel wearable clothing, beneficial books, and toys allocated to several foundations and orphanages.

Additionally, through Pertamina Cares, BAZMA (Pertamina Zakat Foundation), Pertamina also realised the Spirit of Sharing Eid Clothing (SEBARAN) initiative to more than 1,000 orphan children and the destitute including those with disabilities. This activity took place in several cities throughout Indonesia, one of which was at Grha Pertamina Jakarta on 13 March 2026.

Corporate Secretary Pertamina Arya Dwi Paramita added that this series of Pertamina activities represents an effort to unite spirit, whilst serving as a moment for sharing and strengthening bonds during the holy month of Ramadhan 1447 AH.

“The various activities conducted represent an opportunity to strengthen Pertamina’s synergy with society and the surrounding environment, as well as to strengthen bonds whilst sharing blessings and happiness by channelling positive energy to the public,” concluded Arya in a statement released on Saturday (14 March 2026).

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition sector, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target and continues to promote programmes that directly impact the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

All these efforts are aligned with Pertamina’s transformation, which is oriented towards governance, public service, business and environmental sustainability, by applying Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles across all Pertamina’s business lines and operations.
