Ramadhan Bazaar at Sunda Kelapa Mosque Promotes Women's Empowerment and Local SMEs
Religious singer Opick performed several of his popular songs, including “Ya Maulana”, to an enthusiastic crowd at the bazaar, which was predominantly attended by women. The audience sang along whilst capturing the moment on their devices.
“To everyone present, do you want your hopes to come true? Are you sure? Let us together sing Maulana Ya Maulana (O My Protector),” Opick said before performing.
The Ramadhan bazaar at the Sunda Kelapa Mosque complex ran from 21 to 25 February 2026 and was initiated by the Central Jakarta Family Welfare Empowerment Team (TP PKK).
A range of local micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) products were featured at the event, spanning food, crafts and fashion.
TP PKK General Chairwoman Endang Nugrahani Pramono Anung said the Ramadhan bazaar served as a space for women’s empowerment and strengthening the family economy.
The event, she continued, also demonstrated that faith goes hand in hand with hard work and self-reliance.
“This Ramadhan should strengthen our spirit not only to improve the quality of our worship, but also to broaden our tangible contributions to society,” Endang said.
The event also offered a free tattoo removal service, which commenced on 23 February 2026. The service aimed to provide an opportunity for members of the public wishing to turn over a new leaf and better themselves through free, safe and medically compliant tattoo removal.
“This is all carried out by Baznas Bazis DKI Jakarta as a gesture of care towards those who wish to make a fresh start and have their tattoos removed,” said Prof. Bunyamin, Deputy Chairman IV for Human Resources at Baznas/Bazis DKI Jakarta.
