Ramadan Sparks Social Responsibility as DETA Hosts Orphan Charity
PT Deta Graha Mulya (DETA) organised a charitable event at its office in East Jakarta under the banner ‘Berbagi Kebahagiaan Merajut Asa’, bringing joy to 33 orphans from Yayasan Seiya Sekata and from local communities. The company stated today that the event combined direct donations from benefactors with a creative fundraising approach, including a clothing auction titled ‘Ramadhan Thrift & Share’ of second-hand garments. Proceeds (100% of sale) were donated to Yayasan Seiya Sekata. The initiative aimed to provide emotional support and spiritual guidance to the orphans, who often face constraints. Alpvy Ramadhan, DETA’s Managing Director, said the event underscored DETA’s care for fellow human beings, especially orphans, emphasising the importance of learning and faith. Through an Asmaul Husna quiz and readings of the names of prophets, organisers hoped to motivate the children to study harder. Gifts were presented, followed by interactive games and motivational talks, ending with a group photo and presentations of donations. The event was described as part of a broader CSR context in Indonesia, with other actors such as Pelindo’s TJSL programme delivering sustainable positive impact for residents near port operations. In addition, Hôtel Golden Tulip Essential Tangerang hosted an orphans’ recitation and charity event in cooperation with Yayasan Panti Asuhan Al-Mabrurotul Munawwaroh Al-Amanah, offering not only financial aid but also schooling necessities ahead of the new academic year. Baznas (Bazis) DKI Jakarta leveraged the moment of social care to distribute Rp3 billion in donations to 3,000 orphans across Jakarta. All recipients were orphans from poor families living near the Company’s operating area.
