JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Perum Jasa Tirta II is utilising the momentum of the 2026 Ramadan Safari to strengthen internal consolidation in order to support the optimisation of sustainable water resource management services. Amidst the increasingly complex challenges of water resource management, this annual religious event is positioned not merely as a ceremonial activity, but as part of a strategy to strengthen organisational governance and synergy. The Director General of Perum Jasa Tirta II, Imam Santoso, said that the Ramadan Safari serves as a space for management consolidation so that all organisational units move in the same policy direction. “The Ramadan Safari is not just about fostering relationships or sharing. It is a moment to strengthen organisational solidarity, align the steps of all work units,” said Imam in a press release on Thursday (26/2/2026). “And to ensure that every task we carry out truly moves in one vision, ensuring that water management services run optimally, sustainably, and accountably, and ultimately provide the best service to the community,” he added. As a state-owned enterprise entrusted with the mandate of managing water resources, Perum Jasa Tirta II has a responsibility not only for operational and technical aspects, but also in building social relationships with the community. “In the spirit of Ramadan, which is full of blessings, we want to ensure that water resource management is carried out professionally, sustainably, and provides real benefits for the nation,” he explained. The first Ramadan Safari event was held at the As Salam Mosque in the Perum Jasa Tirta II Head Office in Purwakarta, West Java, on Thursday afternoon, and was attended by company personnel from the Head Office, Regional Unit IV, the Direct Benefit Programme Management Unit (UPPML) for Water Resource Management Service Fees (BJPSDA), the PLTA Unit, and the Education and Training Centre. The next series of activities will be held at the Subang Regional Unit III Office on 3 March 2026, and will be attended by Regional Unit II (Karawang), Regional Unit III, Regional Unit V (Cirebon), and the Laboratory and Environment Unit, in order to strengthen cross-regional coordination in supporting the optimisation of water resource management services. The Ramadan Safari will also be held at the Serang Regional Unit VI Office on 11 March 2026, involving Perum Jasa Tirta II personnel from Regional Unit VI and Regional Unit VII (Lampung). Through this series of events, the company reaffirms its commitment to integrating spiritual values, professionalism, and social responsibility in every aspect of water resource management. “With the spirit of togetherness and the blessings of Ramadan, the company is optimistic that it will be able to strengthen its role as a state-owned enterprise that is present for the nation and provides sustainable benefits to the community,” said Imam.
