“Stable kamtibmas conditions are very important to support government development programmes and improve community welfare,” said Irjen Herry on Thursday (26/2/2026).
Beyond formal official agendas, Irjen Herry Heryawan also took time for religious tourism and joint prayers at the Tomb of Syech Umar, one of the historic religious sites in Pangkalan Sesai Village.
The activity’s peak took place at the Wicaksana Laghawa Hall of Dumai Police Headquarters through a joint Buka Puasa (breaking of fast) event attended by the entire Forkopimda leadership of Dumai City, heads of vertical agencies (Customs, Immigration, Port Authority), and community leaders.
Dumai Mayor H Paisal, who also attended, appreciated the presence of the Police Chief and his team. According to him, this activity was not merely ceremonial but strengthened communication among Forkopimda ranks.
“This activity is not merely breaking fast together, but an opportunity to strengthen coordination to support Dumai City’s development,” said Paisal.
As a form of social concern, the Riau Police Chief also distributed aid to orphans, Qur’an reciters (Tahfiz), and representatives of online motorcycle taxi drivers (Ojol) in Dumai City.
The activity concluded with the Maghrib prayer in congregation at Al Khairat Mosque of Dumai Police Headquarters and a joint dinner.
