Ramadan Safari: Gianyar Police Chief Hands Out Sembako and Community Service at Mosque
Chief of Gianyar Police AKBP Chandra Citra Kesuma conducted a Ramadan Safari at Nurul Yaqin Mosque, Semebaung Environment, Bedulu Village, Blahbatuh District, on Friday (6 March 2026). The Ramadan Safari, which also included the handover of sembako and a community clean-up, was held to strengthen ties with the community during the holy month of Ramadan.
In addition to Chandra, the Ramadan Safari was attended by the Gianyar Deputy Police Chief, the Chairperson of the Gianyar Bhayangkari Branch and its administrators, senior officers of Gianyar Police, the Blahbatuh Police Chief, and Gianyar Police personnel. Also present were H Karsidi, Head of the Semebaung Environment; the Chairperson of Nurul Yaqin Mosque Foundation, mosque administrators, and local residents who received sembako.
The arrival of the Gianyar Police delegation was welcomed directly by the Nurul Yaqin Mosque management. In their remarks, the mosque representatives expressed appreciation and thanks for the visit and for the concern shown by the Gianyar Police towards the local community.
Besides distributing sembako to residents, the event also included a community clean-up of the mosque area in collaboration with the community as a sign of care for the cleanliness of the place of worship.
Chandra said the Ramadan Safari is part of efforts to strengthen ties between the police and the community. ‘Through the Ramadan Safari, we want to strengthen silaturahmi with the community while also sharing with those in need. In addition, we invite the community to help maintain security and public order in Gianyar Regency,’ Chandra said.
During the event, Chandra also publicised the Call Centre 110 service to the public as a means of fast and free reporting of police assistance. ‘Call Centre 110 is a police service that the public can contact for free if they need police assistance. We call on residents not to hesitate to report if they experience or know of any security disturbances,’ he added.
The Ramadan Safari ended with the symbolic handover of sembako to a representative of the residents, followed by a group photo and a community clean-up of the mosque environment. The entire sequence of activities was conducted safely, orderly, and smoothly.
