Ramadan Kareem: Brimob Polda Metro Holds Quranic Recitations and Distributes Meals in Bekasi
Amidst the hustle and bustle of maintaining security, personnel from the Brimob Polda Metro Jaya have not neglected their religious observances. As Ramadan begins, Brimob personnel are enhancing their faith and piety through Quranic recitations.
This religious activity was held by personnel from the D Pioneer Battalion of the Brimob Polda Metro Jaya and the Bhayangkari Branch of the D Battalion at the Al-Amin Mosque, Cikarang, Bekasi Regency. The recitation sessions take place after the Subuh prayer until sunrise.
The recitation was led by religious leader H Muhammad Ali. The personnel recited the Quran devoutly.
Commander of the Brimob Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Henik Maryanto, stated that this activity is part of the ongoing efforts of the Brimob Polda Metro Jaya to strengthen the mental and spiritual well-being of its personnel. Spiritual guidance plays an important role in maintaining emotional balance and improving the quality of task execution in the field.
“Mental and spiritual development is a primary asset to ensure that personnel remain professional, humane, and able to provide the best service to the community,” said Henik Maryanto on Wednesday (24/2/2026).
Through the regular recitation activities, the Brimob Polda Metro Jaya continues to be committed to shaping personnel who are not only operationally strong but also possess strong morals and integrity in carrying out their duties of maintaining security and public order.
Distributing Meals
In addition to holding Quranic recitations, Brimob Polda Metro Jaya personnel are also continuing to connect with the community during this Ramadan. Brimob personnel took to the streets to distribute meals to drivers in the Cikarang area.
Kombes Henik Maryanto emphasized that this activity is part of the Polri’s commitment to strengthening humanitarian values during Ramadan. According to him, the momentum of Ramadan is an important opportunity for personnel to cultivate empathy and strengthen relationships with the community.
“Ramadan is not just a routine of worship, but also a moment to strengthen social concern. The presence of Brimob in the community is expected to create a sense of security and togetherness,” he said.
