Ramadan Full of Blessings: Mandiri Volunteers Reach Out to West Java Residents
BANDUNG — In the spirit of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah, Bank Mandiri has strengthened its commitment to corporate social responsibility through a Social Service programme (Bakti Sosial) involving Mandiri volunteers and communities across West Java.
This initiative implements the spirit of “Appreciate the Moment of Blessing through Sharing Goodness,” realised through a series of social actions designed to provide sustained benefits to communities whilst reflecting Mandiri’s commitment to “Serving Wholeheartedly.”
Social assistance activities were conducted at two elderly care facilities: Panti Jompo Fakku Raqabah and Pondok Lansia Tulus Kasih. Bank Mandiri distributed assistance packages to 100 elderly residents, alongside environmental cleaning activities at Panti Jompo Fakku Raqabah and various communal activities promoting positive interaction between volunteers and communities.
All activities were designed to create sustained social impact whilst adding value to surrounding environments, particularly for the community.
The Ramadan period was leveraged as an opportunity to instil values of sharing and mutual cooperation. Through direct involvement of Mandiri staff, the activities also served as a social learning space that strengthened solidarity and fostered a sense of care towards others.
Nila Mayta Dwi Rihandjani, Regional Chief Executive of Bank Mandiri Region VI/West Java, stated that the Social Service programme reflects the company’s culture, encouraging Mandiri personnel to actively contribute to society. According to her, the activities are not merely focused on distributing aid, but also emphasise the importance of building closeness, trust, and long-term relationships with communities.
“This programme is not just about social action, but also about building closeness and trust. This Ramadan, we want to bring the spirit of sharing that strengthens the relationship between Mandiri staff and communities, in line with Bank Mandiri’s 2026 Ramadan theme: ‘Appreciate the Moment of Blessing through Sharing Goodness,’” Nila stated in an official statement on Saturday (28 February 2026).
The activities are expected to provide direct benefits to recipients whilst strengthening values of empathy, togetherness, and social responsibility amongst volunteers. Active participation by Mandiri staff reflects the bank’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and empowered social environment through direct involvement of company personnel.
Through the Mandiri Sharing Goodness programme, Mandiri Group distributed assistance to over 114,000 beneficiaries throughout Ramadan. The programme targeted orphans, elderly individuals, underprivileged communities, vulnerable populations, and communities neighbouring Bank Mandiri’s operational areas.
As part of the comprehensive series of goodwill programmes, Bank Mandiri reintroduced its Free Homecoming Together (Mudik Bersama Gratis) programme as a tangible expression of the company’s commitment to providing direct benefits to communities during Eid al-Fitr. For the 2026 implementation, Bank Mandiri has prepared free homecoming facilities to 80 destination cities across various regions of Indonesia.
Moving forward, Bank Mandiri is committed to continuing to develop the Mandiri Volunteer programme as part of implementing corporate social responsibility. This effort aligns with the company’s support for sustainable social development and improved quality of life for communities across various regions of Indonesia.
