Ramadan Blessings: Four Orphan Foundations Receive Donations from the Directorate General of Islamic Education (Diktis), Ministry of Religious Affairs
A total of Rp 100 million in donations was given to four Yatim Piatu foundations, representing a direct gesture towards the welfare of orphans. The donations were provided by the Directorate of Higher Islamic Education (Diktis) within the Directorate General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religious Affairs during the event ‘Enhancing Employees’ Religious Capacity’, held from 6 to 7 March 2026. Under the theme ‘Internalising Spiritual Values through Self-Reflection, Unity, and Social Caring’, the event served as an important moment for strengthening humanitarian aspects within the ministry’s working environment through tangible actions in society. Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prof Kamaruddin Amin, in his address stressed that fasting and worship in the Ramadan month must be instruments of behavioural transformation with real social impact. ‘Fasting, in essence, is an instrument to shape a person of integrity and become the best version of ourselves,’ he said in a statement on Saturday, 7 March 2026. He added that the success of such worship would be measured by how well it transforms behaviour to be more caring and sharing; being truly religious means it must have social impact. ‘The quality of our lives depends on how much benefit we provide and how many people smile because of our goodness,’ Prof Kamaruddin added. In agreement with this sentiment, the Director General of Islamic Education, Prof Amien Suyitno, expressed gratitude for the realisation of care values carried out by the Diktis leadership through this act of benevolence.
