Ramadan and BSI’s 38th Anniversary: A Moment to Demonstrate Consistency in Serving the Nation

The Bina Sarana Informatika Foundation (BSI) celebrated its 38th anniversary on Tuesday, 3 March 2026. The milestone was marked by an iftar gathering held at the Al-Firdaus Mosque Hall, Jl. Raya Jatiwaringin, Pondok Gede, Bekasi. Founded on 3 March 1988, BSI has traversed a long 38-year journey in education. It has faced numerous challenges and changing times, from technological shifts and changes in learning systems to rising demands for higher quality human resources in the digital era. Yet BSI’s commitment to continuing to contribute to nation-building has never wavered. The 38th anniversary was a moment for reflection on what has been achieved and a reaffirmation of the path ahead. The warm, familial atmosphere was felt as the foundation’s board, leadership, and the academic community gathered together during the holy month of Ramadan. The Foundation’s Patron, Herman Pratikto Harsoyo, expressed gratitude for the long journey BSI has taken to reach 38 years. ‘Thirty-eight years is a journey full of struggle. We began with a simple aim to educate the nation’s children, and today we are grateful that BSI continues to grow, develop, and contribute meaningfully to society,’ he said in an exclusive interview. He emphasised that 38 years is not merely a number, but a symbol of resilience, consistency and commitment to educational quality. ‘The achievements today are the result of hard work and dedication from the entire BSI family. Looking ahead, we hope BSI becomes more widely known as an educational institution that not only produces graduates but also builds character, competence, and the nation’s competitiveness,’ said Herman. He added that future challenges will be increasingly complex, particularly in facing the acceleration of digital transformation and the needs of industries that continue to change. Therefore, BSI will continue to strengthen innovation, collaboration, and the quality of education to remain relevant and adaptive. The 38th anniversary moment, which coincides with Ramadan, serves as a reminder that the struggle to build education is both an act of worship and a long-term investment for the nation.
