Ramadan momentum has been leveraged as an opportunity to strengthen social solidarity and promote community health awareness. Through the “Improve Immunity, Strengthen Faith” campaign, communities are being encouraged to participate in a charitable movement supporting residents affected by flooding in Aceh Tamiang district, Aceh province.

The programme is being implemented through collaboration between health product company Stimuno and humanitarian organisation Dompet Dhuafa, with the objective of providing nutritional and health support to communities still undergoing post-disaster recovery.

Manager of Dexa Dharma Mateus Ramidi explained that this initiative represents a demonstration of care expected to be directly felt by affected residents. According to him, collaboration with various stakeholders has been undertaken to ensure that assistance reaches those in need more broadly.

The programme provides various forms of direct aid to affected communities, including community kitchens, iftar meals, evening snacks, and health product assistance to thousands of beneficiaries.

Head of the Aceh Tamiang District Health Office Mustakim expressed appreciation for the collaborative initiative. According to him, the support provided not only helps meet community needs directly, but also strengthens the spirit of mutual cooperation during the recovery process.

“Ramadan is an appropriate time to strengthen social solidarity. Support such as this provides tangible benefits to communities whilst strengthening cross-sector collaboration in maintaining public health,” said Mustakim.

Beyond food assistance, communities are also receiving support from Stimuno health products, which are phytopharmaceutical products containing herbal extract of Phyllanthus niruri, also known as leaf of bhumyamlaki. The product has undergone clinical trials at various hospitals across Indonesia for several conditions, including acute respiratory tract infections, tuberculosis, influenza-like illness, hepatitis B, herpes zoster, vaginal candidiasis, and varicella.

General Manager of Consumer Health at Dexa PT Dexa Medica, Andy Mitra Gunadi, stated that the campaign also serves as an invitation to communities to maintain their immune resistance whilst observing Ramadan. He added that community participation in the programme also broadens the benefits of the charitable movement to communities in need.

“Through this campaign, we wish to encourage communities to maintain their physical resilience whilst strengthening care for fellow citizens. With community participation, the benefits of this charitable movement can reach more communities undergoing recovery,” he said.

Through the “Improve Immunity, Strengthen Faith” movement, Ramadan is understood not merely as an opportunity to deepen worship, but also to provide tangible care for communities rising up and rebuilding their lives.

The flash floods that struck the region in November 2025 changed everything for residents. Homes that had served as family gathering places for decades were swept away by floodwaters.

Disaster situations present not only humanitarian crises but also potential long-term risks to child health. As communities continue their recovery efforts through Ramadan, collaborative initiatives and mutual assistance traditions remain central to Indonesia’s approach to disaster response and community resilience.
