Ramadan 2026 Imsakiyah Schedule for Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 26th

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The eighth day of fasting in Ramadan 1447 Hijri falls on Thursday (February 26th, 2026) in Central Jakarta.

Muslims are expected to maintain their health and devotion in carrying out their worship until the end of the holy month.

Each region, including Bekasi Regency, has an Imsakiyah schedule and prayer times as a guide to ensure that the fasting worship is carried out on time.

Here is the Imsakiyah schedule and prayer times in Central Jakarta on the 8th of Ramadan 1447 H or Thursday (February 26th, 2026):

The government, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, has determined that the beginning of the fast for Ramadan 1447 Hijri will fall on Thursday, February 19th, 2026.

This decision was made after the Isbat session was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs office in Jakarta on Tuesday (February 17th, 2026), led by Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar.

The determination was made because the new moon was not observed on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Hisab Rukyat Team, which stated that the position of the new moon did not meet the MABIMS visibility criteria.

This difference does not diminish the validity of worship, and all Muslims are urged to respect each other.

The Isbat session involved various Islamic organizations, experts in astronomy, and astronomical institutions, and was carried out using the method of integrating hisab and rukyatul hilal to maintain uniformity while respecting the differences in methods that exist in society.
