Jakarta — RajaMICE has launched the “Indonesia Travel Fair (ITF) 2026”, to be held alongside the “Indonesia Wellness & Health Tourism Expo (IWHTE) 2026” on 28–31 May 2026 in Jakarta.

Former Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (2020–2024) Sandiaga Uno outlined a strategic perspective on opportunities for developing Indonesian tourism amid shifting global dynamics, emphasising the importance of collaboration between government, industry players, and various stakeholders to strengthen the competitiveness of national tourism.

“Global geopolitical dynamics, including potential impacts from crises in the Gulf region, are expected to influence global travel patterns, ranging from changes in flight routes, destination preferences, to strategies of international travellers,” he said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He supported RajaMICE’s initiative to hold the “ITF 2026” alongside the “IWHTE 2026”.

“This event serves as a collaboration and adaptation platform for national tourism industry players whilst strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness as a tourism and health destination in the Asian region,” said Sandiaga.

Meanwhile, RajaMICE Chairman Panca Rudolf Sarungu explained that the event would offer visitors several attractive features, including collaboration with various airlines to present competitive and appealing travel offers.

“The event is designed to encourage direct transactions between exhibitors and visitors and maximise sales, supported by banking partners offering various payment methods that are fast, secure, and convenient for both visitors and exhibitors,” he said.

With support from various industry associations and stakeholders, organisers are optimistic that the “ITF 2026” and “IWHTE 2026” will serve as an important momentum in strengthening Indonesia’s position as a leading tourism and health tourism destination at regional and global levels.
