Rainstorm sweeps many houses

PURWOKERTO, Central Java: A rainstorm swept through this
regency over the weekend, damaging several hundred buildings and
leaving 20 people homeless.

No casualties were reported in the disaster, Antara reported
yesterday.

The worst hit were the subdistricts of Sokanegara,
Kedaungwuluh and North Purwokerto.

The rainstorm also caused the Kranji River in Sokanegara to
overflow, inundating houses located along the river, the news
