Rainstorm damage 70 houses

MAGELANG, Central Java: At least 70 houses in the Ngluar and
Salam sub-districts were badly damaged in a rainstorm on
Wednesday, Antara reported yesterday.

"The 70 houses were seriously damaged after being hit by
falling trees," Sarmanto, head of the Social Affairs division of
the Magelang regency, said.

He said there were no casualties but that losses have been
estimated at Rp 15 million (US$6,784.3).(imn)
