Railway company's survey
Railway company's survey
From Warta Kota
On Feb. 14, 2001 the railway company (KAI) conducted a survey
of train passengers in the Jakarta-Bogor-Tangerang-Bekasi area.
It was said that the survey was aimed at enhancing the company's
services to the public.
Strangely, however, the next day I saw one of the ticket
booths in Pasar Minggu station closed while some of the KAI
employees were joyfully playing table tennis. They explained that
the frequent closures were due to the fact that no one was
available for that booth.
I wanted to inquire about it directly to the station master,
but I was always told that he was not around.
Another nuisance prevailing in this particular station is the
great number of sidewalk vendors occupying the station's
pavements. The situation is so bad that it causes great
inconvenience to passengers and potential passengers alike.
