Railroad crossings unguarded

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: Sixty out of 76 railway crossings in this city are not guarded, raising greater concern about safety in the streets.

Head of the Lampung office of the Ministry of Transportation Odjoh Wardjah told members of the local Legislative Council that the state-owned railway company should address the problem.

He said that the absence of gates at most of the railway crossings was due to a lack of funds, Antara reported.(imn)
