Ragunan Zoo to Add 27 Parking Spots to Manage Visitor Surge
Ragunan Zoo management in South Jakarta has prepared 27 additional parking spots to anticipate visitor surges during the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah and public holiday period.
“A total of 27 additional parking spots have been provided with a capacity to accommodate approximately 5,500 cars and 20,000 motorcycles,” said Wahyudi Bambang, Head of Public Relations for Ragunan Zoo, in Jakarta on Monday.
The management has set up additional parking areas within the zoo grounds to handle increased vehicle traffic during the holiday season.
In addition to parking facilities, the zoo is strengthening security and visitor services during the extended holiday.
Wahyudi noted that the zoo is coordinating closely with the military (TNI), police (Polri), and other relevant agencies to ensure visitor safety and comfort.
“Security and visitor services are our top priority during Eid al-Adha. Coordination with TNI, Polri, and relevant agencies is being carried out to maintain the tourist area’s tranquillity,” he added.
According to Wahyudi, Ragunan Zoo is accessible via various public transport options, including Transjakarta and other services.
Additionally, visitors are urged to supervise their children to prevent separation from family members in crowded areas.
Visitors are also reminded not to feed or disturb the zoo’s animal collection, as it could affect their health and well-being.
“We hope all visitors comply with the regulations to ensure a safe, comfortable holiday and the animals’ health is maintained,” Wahyudi said.
