Jakarta – PT Pertamina (Persero) has assured energy-supply readiness for the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force period in 2026. During the Satgas, the Pertamina Group will maintain 24-hour readiness to meet the energy needs of the Indonesian people.

Muhammad Baron, Vice President for Corporate Communications at Pertamina (Persero), said the company has taken various steps to improve service and energy supply. ‘Pertamina has increased energy stock build-up to anticipate higher consumption during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period, particularly during the homecoming and return flows,’ he said at the Pertamina Group Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Satgas press conference at Grha Pertamina, Jakarta, on Wednesday 4 March 2026.

Pertamina predicts outbound peak travel will occur in two waves, the first on 14-15 March 2026 and the second on 18-19 March 2026. The return flow is likewise expected in two phases, 24-25 March 2026 and 28-29 March 2026.

‘Fuel, LPG and Avtur supplies are currently safe, and Pertamina continues to strive to meet the needs of the Indonesian people during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026 Satgas,’ he said.

Baron projected gasoline demand would rise as many people travel for mudik or tourism. Meanwhile demand for Gasoil will align with restrictions on industrial and commercial vehicle operations. Other fuels such as LPG, Avtur and Kerosene are also expected to rise. ‘With these projections, Pertamina has mobilised the entire energy infrastructure—from upstream being kept on standby, to refineries operating at full capacity, and downstream on 24-hour standby. All Pertamina business units are also ready to offer promotions and their best services,’ Baron added.

Upstream and downstream

In the upstream sector, through PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, Pertamina is aiming to maintain production rates. From January to March 2026, the lifting rate reached 386 thousand barrels of oil per day (MBOPD).

In the maritime sector, PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), through its subsidiaries, has ensured full readiness to support smooth energy distribution during the Satgas period. A total of 415 tugboats have been prepared to operate, safeguarding the navigations of tanker vessels during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. PIS is also ready to operate LPG Terminals and Fuel Terminals that support energy supply across various regions of Indonesia.

In the downstream sector, the frontline of energy service, Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared energy distribution infrastructure including 7,885 SPBU, 6,777 Pertashop, 6,662 LPG Agents and 223 Kerosene Agents. ‘To deliver optimal service, Pertamina has also provided supporting energy services along potential routes, including toll roads, tourist routes, and major cross-country corridors that are busy with travellers,’ Baron said.

Supporting energy services include 2,074 24-hour SPBU, 6,300 On-Call LPG Agents, 96 units of Modular Fuel Service, and 64 Pertamina Siaga Kiosk locations. In addition, 200 Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) BBM units, 2,701 Bright Gas PDS outlets, and 200 standby tanker trucks.

Beyond energy services, Pertamina continues to enhance services for travellers via Serambi MyPertamina, rest stops along the journey. The number of Serambi MyPertamina sites has almost doubled from 27 in 2025 to 41 in 2026. Services at Serambi MyPertamina include massage chairs, Bright barbershop, medical checks, MyPertamina THR, BNI money exchange, Baznaz Corner and Skin Check & Sunscreen Dispensers.

Pertamina also has ambulance services at five Serambi MyPertamina locations, free porter services at several airports, and towing and service-car services.

In the gas sector, Pertamina’s Gas Subholding continues to ensure reliable gas supplies to 818,000 household customers across eight provinces. Meanwhile, Pertamina NRE continues to maintain reliability in the clean-energy sector with a total capacity of 3 gigawatts.

Baron added that the readiness of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Satgas 2026 is also applied to its subsidiaries, especially those involved with the public, such as Pelita Air Service, Pertamina Bina Medika IHC and Patra Jasa.

For travel healthcare, IHC has prepared 38 hospitals and 68 clinics across Indonesia. Some hospitals also offer travel haemodialysis, making it easier for people who require haemodialysis during travel.

Meanwhile, Patra Jasa, the hospitality arm, operates nine hotels across strategic destinations in Indonesia, with more than 900 rooms in total. During the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Satgas, Patra Jasa provides various promotions and partnerships with partners to enhance travellers’ comfort.

Pelita Air, which provides air transport, will deploy 15 Airbus A320 aircraft on 17 domestic and international routes during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Satgas 2026 period. Pelita Air has prepared a 25 percent increase in seating capacity compared with last year. During the Satgas period, Pelita Air offers a 19 percent discount for Jakarta-originating passengers to various destinations, while passengers heading to Jakarta will receive an additional 35 percent discount.

‘The Pertamina Group is ready to serve wholeheartedly, delivering the best possible service to the community celebrating Eid al-Fitr,’ Baron said. Baron emphasised that all energy-distribution infrastructure and Pertamina services are monitored in real time at the Pertamina Digital Hub. By leveraging AI in data processing, Pertamina can make rapid decisions as required on the ground.
