Raffi Ahmad's Special Message to West Bandung Regent: Collaboration is Key
Presidential Special Envoy for Youth Generation and Arts Workers Development, Raffi Ahmad, delivered a special message to West Bandung Regent Jeje Ritchie Ismail. He said that collaboration is the key to developing West Bandung Regency (KBB).
He conveyed this message while visiting the Jajarans Festival 2026 at Kota Baru Parahyangan on Saturday (8/8/2026). He was accompanied by his wife, who is also the President Director of PT Rans Entertainment, Nagita Slavina, to enliven the event, which was part of the peak of KBB’s 19th anniversary celebrations.
Everyone, he said, certainly experiences evolution and change for the better. The most important thing is cooperation. “There is no Superman, no great person who works alone. There is the Deputy Regent, the Regional Secretary, the entire West Bandung Regency Government apparatus, and also support from the central government,” said Raffi.
He said that the central government provides full support for regional development, including in West Bandung. Therefore, collaboration and unity are very important to realise development that benefits the community.
“The point is that communication must remain solid. We also often communicate between the central and regional levels. The most important thing is communication and safeguarding the mandate properly for the benefit of the community,” said Raffi.
On that occasion, Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina gave a gift to the community by making all micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) stalls, specifically food and beverages, free at the Jajarans Festival. Immediately, the crowd in front of the stage dispersed to hunt for typical West Bandung culinary delights.
“Here we are presenting the Jajanan Festival which showcases various MSMEs, especially food and beverages. I said earlier that it is free, Nagita is paying. So today we are buying out all the MSMEs here, the food is free for the community,” said Raffi.
The excitement of the Jajarans Festival, which took place from 7-9 August 2026, attracted public attention because it was held without using the West Bandung Regency Regional Budget (APBD). The entertainment and platform for MSME players was made possible through cooperation and collaboration with a number of parties.
“Jajarans is here as a space for entertainment and togetherness in the context of enlivening KBB’s 19th anniversary. I need to convey that Jajarans does not use the APBD at all, it is purely supported by various parties,” said Regent Jeje.
The festivity of Jajarans became the peak of the 19th anniversary commemoration of West Bandung Regency. The big mission behind the festival’s excitement is a concrete step by the government to drive the wheels of MSMEs.
“Hopefully Jajarans will be successful as a means to enliven West Bandung and drive the wheels of the community’s economy,” said Jeje.
