Raffi Ahmad's Name Appears in Corruption Case Handled by KPK
The Corruption Eradancy Commission (KPK) has confirmed that the name of the Special Envoy to the President for the Development of Youth and Arts, Raffi Ahmad (RA), has surfaced during the investigation into alleged corruption within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance.
Acting Director of Investigations at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, explained that Raffi Ahmad’s name emerged in relation to his activities visiting the Blueray Cargo office in the United States to entrust or ship several electronic items to Indonesia. “It is true, there are facts that Mr RA entrusted items,” Taufik stated at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, on Monday.
However, he admitted that the KPK has not yet expanded upon this lead within the Customs investigation. “Previously, we did not develop this too far because we had not reached facts that would strengthen the claim that this was part of the Blueray incident involving immigration matters at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise; therefore, we did not issue a summons,” he said.
Nevertheless, following further revelations during court proceedings, he ensured that the KPK will investigate the matter deeply. “Whether the facts from the trial will become new facts that need further investigation? Yes, we will certainly conduct examinations,” he added.
Previously, on 4 February 2026, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance. A day later, the KPK named six of the 17 individuals detained as suspects in a case involving alleged bribery and gratification related to the import of counterfeit goods within Customs.
The suspects include Rizal (RZL), the Director of Enforcement and Investigation at Customs for the 2024–January 2026 period and currently serving as the Head of the West Sumatra Regional Customs Office; Sisprian Subiaksono (SIS), Head of the Sub-directorate of Intelligence, Enforcement, and Investigation at Customs; and Orlando Hamonangan (ORL), Head of the Customs Intelligence Section.
Additionally, the KPK named the owner of Blueray Cargo, John Field (JF), the Import Documentation Team Leader of Blueray Cargo, Andri (AND), and the Operational Manager of Blueray Cargo, Dedy Kurniawan (DK), as suspects. On 26 February 2026, the KPK named another suspect, Budiman Bayu Prasojo (BBP), the Customs Intelligence Section Head of the Directorate of Enforcement and Investigation at Customs.
