Raffi Ahmad Visits Marine Corps 1 in Cilandak, What's the Occasion?

Jakarta - The President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development and Creative Workers, Raffi Ahmad, visited the 1st Marine Troops (Pasmar) of the Marine Corps in East Cilandak, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/5/2026). According to an Instagram post by the Indonesian Navy Marines, Raffi was immediately welcomed by the Commander of Pasmar 1, Major General TNI (Marine) Ii Dasili, at the Hartono Cilandak Marine Barracks. “This meeting discussed various strategic initiatives to introduce the role of the Marine Corps to the younger generation and to strengthen national values through the creative industry,” stated the written caption on the Indonesian Navy Marines’ Instagram, quoted on Wednesday (13/5/2026). The husband of Nagita Slavina also toured several areas to observe the activities of the troops. Major General (Marine) Ii Dasili said that this collaboration with the creative industry is a visionary step to instil patriotism from an early age. “Indonesia’s future is determined by the younger generation who possess strong national insight, innovative intelligence, and commitment to participate in safeguarding this nation,” he said. The programme encompasses the role of the Indonesian Navy Marine Corps in strengthening national resilience, distributing food to remote areas, and carrying out various humanitarian missions. “With close synergy between the defence world and the creative industry, optimism for realising a more advanced Indonesia will become increasingly evident,” Raffi Ahmad concluded.
