Raffi Ahmad Appointed as First Honorary Ambassador for BPJS Kesehatan

The Social Security Organising Agency, or BPJS Kesehatan, appointed Raffi Ahmad as its first honorary ambassador on Thursday, 23 April 2026. The awarding ceremony was led by BPJS Kesehatan CEO Prihati Pujowaskito at the BPJS Kesehatan office in Jakarta. Pujowaskito stated that Raffi is a figure who has contributed to promoting healthy living behaviours in society, making him deemed worthy of receiving the recognition as the Honorary Ambassador for BPJS Kesehatan. “Clearly, he is a role model, has commitment, and wants to help the success of these programmes,” he said. According to Pujowaskito, BPJS Kesehatan uses the appointment of the honorary ambassador as a means to introduce the institution’s values, such as mutual cooperation to collect contributions to fund the sick. At the same time, it aims to encourage the public to adopt healthy lifestyles in daily life. Raffi, who is currently also the President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development and Arts Workers, said he feels honoured by the awarding. He stated that he is ready to get involved in BPJS Kesehatan socialisation programmes, including encouraging the public to adopt healthy living patterns before falling ill. “I want to always promote health to the younger generation. The younger generation must live healthily, and it must start from a young age, not later after getting sick,” he said. Based on his experience and observations, Raffi views that the younger generation tends to neglect their health conditions due to busyness factors. He then reminded that health is the true investment, because without health, achievements have no meaning. Raffi claimed he is ready to go directly to the public to explain what BPJS Kesehatan programmes are and what benefits they offer. He also repeated the BPJS slogan: “with mutual cooperation, everyone is helped.” In the future, Raffi revealed his plans to collaborate with influencers and various communities to expand the reach of public campaigns. “I also want to invite influencers and the entire community to support BPJS Kesehatan programmes. Health is important, and this is our collective responsibility,” said Raffi.
