Raditya Dika Focuses on Health Protection Through Vaccination
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Content creator and entrepreneur Raditya Dika stated that he is now focusing more on health protection efforts, both through vaccination for his family and maintaining cleanliness in the work environment as a step to prevent infectious diseases such as Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF). “The anticipation is mainly cleaning water, managing water like that. That’s as far as it goes. But because of this event, the next plan (is vaccination) at the office,” said Raditya at the event titled “SIAP Lawan Dengue” in Jakarta on Thursday. Raditya said his awareness of the risks of infectious diseases emerged after seeing a colleague miss school for more than a week due to DHF. According to him, health disruptions can directly impact scheduled work activities. “Last year, I happened to get typhoid, but because I was already vaccinated, I was only hospitalised for three days. The doctor said I was lucky to have been vaccinated. If not, I might have been in hospital for a month. Even though it was only three days, the losses were already significant because many jobs were cancelled,” he said. Through the event themed “Bersama Lawan Dengue, Investasi untuk Kesehatan Karyawan dan Produktivitas Perusahaan” (Together Against Dengue, Investment for Employee Health and Company Productivity), Raditya conveyed that health protection is an important part of ensuring smooth work operations. The event is a cross-sector collaboration involving the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Manpower, KADIN, PT Bio Farma, PT Takeda Innovative Medicines, and PB IDI to encourage the creation of healthy and productive work environments. Raditya hopes that young business actors and creative sector workers will start viewing dengue vaccination as a form of investment to maintain job continuity and daily productivity.
