Radio transmitter tower collapses
PALANGKA RAYA, Central Kalimantan: A 50-year-old man was
killed when a radio transmitter tower in Babayaga, the only
private radio station in Sampit, Central Kalimantan, collapsed
Saturday afternoon.
The 75-meter tower fell on the house where Achari was taking a
nap, Antara reported yesterday.
Strong winds, which have swept through the town the last
several days, have been blamed for the tower's collapse as well
as for dozens of big trees being knocked down. (swe)
