Radio Sonora's reports on the recent floods in Jakarta
deserves high praise. Information, advice and descriptions of the
situation were direly needed by all citizens to plan their daily
activities.

The private radio station's precise information about the
rapid rise of flood waters was important to everyone, especially
the 1,600 Husada hospital personnel living throughout Jakarta.
Many of them, following the advice of Radio Sonora, managed to
circumvent flooded areas and report for duty.
