Radin Inten II Airport closure extended until 18.00 WIB

Perum Lembaga Penyelenggara Pelayanan Navigasi Penerbangan Indonesia (LPPNPI), or AirNav Indonesia, has announced that the closure of Radin Inten II Airport’s airspace has been extended until 18.00 WIB due to the impact of volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau in the Sunda Strait.

After extending the airspace closure at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport until 17.30 WIB, AirNav Indonesia has issued updated aeronautical information regarding the impact of Mount Anak Krakatau’s volcanic ash on operations at Radin Inten II Airport (WILL) in Lampung Province.

“Based on NOTAM B1126/26 (NOTAMR B1125/26), the airspace of Radin Inten II Airport must undergo an extension of the closure period, starting from 14.07 WIB on 6 September 2026, with an estimated reopening at 18.00 WIB,” said AirNav Indonesia’s EVP of Corporate Secretary Hermana Soegijantoro in an official statement in Jakarta on Sunday.

In addition to Radin Inten II, Budiarto Airport (WIRR) also remains closed based on NOTAM C1089/26 (NOTAMR C1079/26), with an estimated reopening at 17.30 WIB.

Meanwhile, Pondok Cabe Airport (WIHP) remains closed based on NOTAM C1090/26 (NOTAMR C1080/26), with an estimated reopening at 16.00 WIB.

AirNav Indonesia, through the Indonesia Network Management Center (INMC), continues to monitor developments in airspace conditions and the dispersion of volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau. Updates to aeronautical information are carried out in accordance with changing conditions to support flight safety.

AirNav Indonesia also continues to coordinate with aviation stakeholders to ensure that information regarding airspace conditions and air navigation services is conveyed in a timely manner.
