Radin Inten Airport Provides 64 Extra Flights for Eid 2026

Bandarlampung — The management of Radin Inten II Airport in Lampung has announced that 64 extra aircraft movements will be provided by airlines during the 2026 Eid travel period at the airport.

“This is to anticipate the surge in the number of passengers, as there is a prediction of a 5.67 per cent increase in passenger numbers during the 2026 Eid transport period. So there are additional flights being prepared by airlines to meet public demand,” said General Manager of Radin Inten II International Airport Kiki Eprina Arieanti in Bandarlampung on Tuesday.

She stated that applications for extra flights received by the Radin Inten II Airport management from several airlines during the 2026 Eid transport period totalled 64 aircraft movements.

“These extra flights will run from 13 March until the 2026 Eid command post period ends on 30 March 2026. The frequency of flights on regular days averages 21 aircraft movements,” she said.

She explained that during the first three days of the 2026 Eid command post operations, there had already been 30 aircraft movements.

“We have coordinated with relevant parties to anticipate the increase in passenger numbers. The Radin Inten Airport has been quite busy with passenger arrivals and departures in recent days,” she added.

She expressed hope that with the addition of extra flights during the 2026 Eid transport period, air transport users travelling through Radin Inten II Airport can comfortably undertake their homecoming journeys.

It is noted that Radin Inten II Airport previously predicted that during the 2026 Eid transport period there would be an increase in passenger movements of 5.67 per cent, bringing the estimated passenger total to 81,797 persons compared to only 77,160 passengers in 2025.
