Qurban Ritual Strengthens Mutual Assistance and Social Solidarity
The Qurban ritual during Eid al-Adha is seen as an opportunity to strengthen community spirit and social care among the public. This is evident in the collective effort and distribution process of the sacrificial animals.

During his speech at Pegadaian Kanwil IX’s animal sacrifice and distribution event on Thursday, 28 May 2026, Maryono stated that Qurban is not only an act of worship but also a means to strengthen ties between the company and the community. He noted that the event was conducted with a sense of togetherness and compassion.
Through this occasion, he said they aim to demonstrate their commitment to reinforcing social care and community unity across their operational areas. This year, the distribution of sacrificial animals took place in several locations including Tanjung Priok, Kalideres, Kebayoran Baru, Cireundeu, and Tangerang.
In total, 7 cows and 52 goats were distributed to local communities and those in need, with each area receiving quantities tailored to their specific needs and distribution coverage.
A sense of togetherness was evident throughout the event, which also served as a platform for community bonding and engaging with stakeholders who support the company’s operations. Through these Qurban activities, they hope to sustain mutual assistance and social care, creating positive impacts on the surrounding environment. (H-3)
