BEKASI — Education on livestock health standards for Qurban is being developed through experiential approaches to enhance public understanding of religious and technical aspects before slaughter.

In Bekasi Regency, the educational activity was conducted as an interactive competitive simulation titled “Sabiku Impact Ranger” at PT Bintang Adya Farm’s Showroom Arena on Sunday, 17 May 2026.

Running from 9am to 12pm WIB, the programme was designed to provide hands-on knowledge of Qurban animal selection processes while developing attention to detail, leadership, and animal welfare principles through experiential learning.

Initiated by MyFundAction Indonesia with support from Rumah Qurban, the initiative involved community volunteers known as Impact Rangers.

Organisers stated that alongside educational aspects, the programme included social activities such as distributing assistance to 30 children from Graha Yatim and Dhuafa Jatiasih, and supporting Qurban meat distribution.

During the event, participants were introduced to the assessment process for Qurban animal suitability, including physical measurements, weight, feed, and health checks before distribution.

Organisers explained that the simulation approach was chosen to improve public understanding of compliant Qurban standards and strengthen transparency in animal selection.

Additionally, the event emphasised animal welfare through professional handlers ensuring safe participant-animal interactions.

One participant, Zahra, said the activity provided direct experience in understanding on-ground Qurban education.

“The event was really fun and it was my first time attending something like this. It’s both enjoyable and highly beneficial for me and the children here,” Zahra said.

At the conclusion, participants with the highest cumulative scores from assessments at each station were declared winners of the simulation.
