Quran Teachers and Madrasah Educators in Bandung Regency Attend Free Competency Training

Approximately 40 Quran teachers, pesantren educators, and madrasah diniyah instructors in Bandung Regency participated in a free competency development training programme organised by the Tevis Foundation. The event took place at the Kampung Quran Saad Anshar area in Cisalak, Jatisari, Bandung Regency, on Sunday (9/8/2026).

The free training served as a learning space for educators to enhance their teaching abilities, communication skills, and approaches to building closer relationships with their students.

The programme covered several topics addressing the challenges teachers face in guiding the younger generation, including ‘Becoming a Teacher Loved by Students’, ‘Public Speaking for Teachers’, and ‘Bringing the Quran into the Hearts of Students’. The material was delivered by Tevis Foundation founder Friandha Insan Firdaus, also known as Kang Ian, public speaking trainer Robi Anshorullah, and Kampung Quran Saad Anshar director Arifin.

Participants not only received theoretical material but also engaged in discussions and shared experiences regarding various challenges encountered while teaching. The training was interactive, with participants involved in discussion sessions and communication practice.

One participant noted that opportunities to attend training for Quran teachers remain relatively limited. Yet, capacity building is needed so that educators can keep up with developments in teaching methods and build better communication with their students. “We have been eagerly awaiting training like this. Throughout my time as a Quran teacher, opportunities to attend training have been very rare. Yet we also need new knowledge so we can teach better and be closer to our students. I hope activities like this can continue,” the participant said.
