"Rubber Time" unacceptable at Japanese companies

Well don't the Japanese often spark out on the job because they work so hard? Indonesia represents the other end of the spectrum. In the West people increasingly work flexi-time which is progress I'd say. The difference between flexi-time and jam karet seems clear though, namely that when people ARE actually in the office they may actually DO SOME FUCKING WORK.
