Quo vadis RI?

Quo vadis RI?

From Forum Keadilan

Following President Abdurrahman Wahid's proposal to lift MPRS Decree No. XXV/1966 banning the propagation of communism because it is considered a violation of human rights and democracy, a question arises: Quo vadis the Indonesian nation?

Democracy does not necessarily mean freedom of everything. Like in religion, there are things that are forbidden, for example, in Islam, pork is haram (forbidden). A creed can no longer be called a religion if it allows everything.

If everybody or a group only thinks that their opinion is right, chaos and anarchy will ensue, and disintegration will not be far off.

Or perhaps the President wants to be called a humanist, or wants to become a prophet by making such a proposal.
