Quick Response by Bhabin in Rokan Hulu Saves Pregnant Accident Victim

A heavily pregnant woman in Rokan Hulu (Rohul), Riau, experienced a single-vehicle accident and began bleeding. Thanks to the quick response of Bhabinkamtibmas officer Bripka Nasrul Jamil, the victim was successfully rescued and received medical treatment.

The incident occurred behind Senin Market, Koto Tinggi Village, Rambah District, Rohul Regency, on Monday morning, 15 June 2026. At the time, Bripka Nasrul was on his way to his office for morning roll call.

During his journey, Nasrul spotted a woman who had been in a single-vehicle accident. The victim, identified as Ines Marsela (32), was bleeding as a result of the crash.

Bripka Nasrul’s humanitarian instincts kicked in. He rushed to assist the victim, who required emergency care as her 9-month pregnancy was haemorrhaging.

Before heading to the hospital, Nasrul did not forget to seek permission from his superior. He informed his commander that he would be late for roll call because he was helping the accident victim first.

“Assalamualaikum, good afternoon, Commander. Requesting permission, Commander, I am late for roll call because I am helping a woman who fell in front of me earlier. It happens that this woman is heavily pregnant. I am currently heading to Surya Insani Hospital, Commander. The woman’s condition is very concerning, so I request permission to go directly to Surya Insani Hospital, Commander,” Bripka Nasrul Jamil said in a video circulating on social media on Tuesday (16/5/2026).

While transporting the victim to the hospital, Bripka Nasrul also tried to calm her down. “Be patient, ma’am, we’ll arrive shortly, ma’am,” Nasrul said.

Nasrul then took the victim to Surya Insani Hospital in Pasir Pengairan. The victim is now under intensive care at the hospital.

Rohul Police Chief AKBP Emil Eka Putra expressed his appreciation for the swift response by Bripka Nasrul. He stated that this should serve as an example for other personnel.

“I appreciate what Bripka Nasrul has done. The safety of citizens is paramount. What Bripka Nasrul did was appropriate and should be an example for other personnel,” said Emil.

Emil conveyed that the duty of the Indonesian National Police is not only as law enforcers but also as servants, protectors, and guardians of the community. Bripka Nasrul’s action is an example of the social awareness that every Bhayangkara officer must possess.

Bripka Nasrul’s action also drew a positive response from the public. Many praised the officer’s concern and quick response, prioritising a citizen’s safety over administrative matters.
