Queues at Gilimanuk Port as Homecoming Traffic Surges
Regional Police Chief of Bali, Commander of Military Region IX/Udayana, and Head of Basarnas Bali conducted monitoring of homecoming traffic along the Gilimanuk Crossing route on Tuesday (17 March).
The monitoring revealed queues of vehicles heading to Gilimanuk Port extending for tens of kilometres. Logistics trucks, passenger buses and private vehicles were all seen patiently waiting their turn to enter the port area.
The surge in vehicles has been driven by heightened population mobility during the Eid homecoming season, whilst the availability of ferry fleets remains limited.
