Queue-it Announces Majority Investment from THL Partners
Queue-it, a global provider of online traffic management solutions, has announced the signing of a definitive agreement for a majority investment from THL Partners, a leading investment firm focused on growth companies in the middle market. THL and Queue-it will together focus on accelerating product innovation and expanding the company’s global reach.
Founded and headquartered in Denmark, Queue-it helps companies and public organisations manage surges in online traffic, protect digital infrastructure, minimise the impact of bots and their misuse, and provide fair and reliable access to essential online services. Its platform is trusted by organisations worldwide and operates across various sectors, including ticketing, retail, government, financial services and other critical industries.
THL’s partnership with Queue-it is a continuation of the firm’s long-term investment focus in IT Operations & Data. This focus encompasses software companies that help organisations operate, secure and optimise increasingly complex digital infrastructure. As internet traffic continues to rise and AI-driven activity changes how organisations manage digital demand, THL believes Queue-it is well positioned to help customers deliver resilient online experiences.
“We are delighted to partner with THL as we enter a new chapter in Queue-it’s journey,” said Jesper Essendrop, CEO of Queue-it. “THL has extensive experience in growing global software businesses and shares our conviction in the opportunity ahead. Together, we will continue to invest in innovation, support customers worldwide, and strengthen our platform as more organisations seek to manage complex digital traffic.”
“Queue-it has built an impressive platform that helps organisations deliver reliable digital experiences at their most critical moments,” said Jordan Welu, Managing Director at THL. “We believe the company is well positioned to capitalise on the growing need for intelligent traffic management, particularly as AI changes the nature and volume of online traffic. Equally important, we have great respect for the culture Jesper and his team have built in Copenhagen, and we are committed to preserving the values and identity that have made Queue-it successful. We look forward to working with the entire Queue-it team to support the company’s next phase of growth.”
“Queue-it is a prime example of the type of software business we seek to partner with through our IT Operations & Data investment focus,” said Lauren Wedell, Principal at THL. “The company has developed technology that is essential for managing digital demand, and we are excited to support the team as they continue to innovate, expand into international markets, and broaden their impact for customers worldwide.”
“Queue-it’s journey has been truly remarkable,” said Lars Dybkjær, Managing Partner at GRO, the selling shareholder in the transaction. “From its Nordic roots, the company has grown into a truly global leader in this category, with an exceptional track record of growth, improving profitability, and a team that has executed extremely well at every stage. It has been an honour to partner with the founders and Jesper and his management team during this chapter, and we have no doubt that the best is yet to come.”
THL will invest in Queue-it through Automation Fund II. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions, including receipt of required regulatory approvals.
