Questioned by Bareskrim, Dude Herlino Denies Involvement in PT DSI's Internal Affairs
Actor Dude Herlino has denied having any involvement in the internal management of PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (DSI) after being questioned by Bareskrim Polri investigators regarding the alleged fraud case involving the company.
Dude emphasised that his presence in this case was solely as an external party working professionally as a brand ambassador.
“So professionally, indeed only as a brand ambassador. That’s basically all it was about,” Dude told reporters after the examination on Thursday (2/4).
He stated that all cooperation with PT DSI was carried out based on official contracts, including the amounts, which had also been disclosed to the investigators in accordance with his work.
Dude also claimed to have checked the legality aspects before entering into the cooperation, including ensuring the existence of permits from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Sharia Supervisory Board.
“We always prioritise caution. From the beginning, legal aspects have been our foundation,” he said.
Nevertheless, he admitted to only learning of the alleged issues at PT DSI after following the case developments through the Commission III DPR Hearing in January.
“We are present to provide support as witnesses, hopefully it can help. Hopefully, this case can be resolved well,” he stated.
Dude and Alyssa Soebandono’s legal representative, Muhammad Al Ayubi Harahap, said that the examination of his clients focused more on their role as brand ambassadors.
According to him, Dude had no knowledge of the company’s internal activities because his position was purely as an external party.
“Because we are not internal to PT DSI, we are purely external parties whose services were hired by PT DSI and there are agreements that have been set out in contracts,” he explained.
Previously reported, Bareskrim Polri summoned Dude Herlino and Alyssa Soebandono to be examined as witnesses in the alleged PT DSI fraud case with losses reaching Rp2.4 trillion.
The Director of Special Economic Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigjen Ade Safri Simanjuntak, said that both were examined because they had been part of the company’s promotional activities.
“Both will be examined in their capacity as witnesses scheduled for Thursday, 2 April 2026, in the examination room of the Dittipideksus Bareskrim Polri,” said Ade Safri.
He added that their involvement as brand ambassadors would be thoroughly investigated by the investigators, given that the number of victims in this case reached around 15,000 people.
“Dude Herlino and Alyssa Soebandono, during the time PT DSI’s business activities were running, based on facts from the investigation, were known to have been part of PT DSI’s business promotion activities as brand ambassadors,” he concluded.
