JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Dude Herlino and Alyssa Soebandono are said to be uninvolved in the internal affairs of PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (PT DSI), which is now embroiled in an alleged fraud case.

Dude and Alyssa’s legal representative, Muhamad Alyudi Harahap, emphasised that his clients only served as brand ambassadors for PT DSI and operated under a professional contract with the company.

“If there are questions pointing to PT DSI’s internal matters, we state that we do not know. We are purely external parties whose services were hired by PT DSI based on the agreement outlined in the contract, which has been fulfilled,” Alyudi said after the examination of Dude and Alyssa at the Bareskrim Polri building in Jakarta on Thursday (2/4/2026).

During the five-hour examination, Dude Herlino was asked 32 questions, while Alyssa Soebandono received 21 questions.

Alyudi noted that most of the investigators’ questions related to his clients’ working relationship with PT DSI.

“Mas Dude acted as a brand ambassador for PT DSI, and that relationship is clearly regulated in the contract. The contract is made annually and renewed each year. That’s the extent of it,” Alyudi stated.

He assessed that the amount was proportional to the work performed in accordance with the contract’s obligations.

Alyudi added that before entering the partnership, his clients had applied principles of prudence, including ensuring that PT DSI had permits and supervision from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), as well as the presence of a Sharia Supervisory Board from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).

“The existence of permits from state authorities serves as the basis that legally there are no issues with the partnership. If internal problems then arise at PT DSI, that falls under the company’s domain,” he added.

“We always prioritise principles of prudence, especially legal aspects, before signing a contract,” said Dude.

“Our presence today is a form of support for the legal process so that this case becomes clear,” he stated.
