Quality, Environmental, and Safety Standards Become Foundation for Petrochemical Producer

PT Lotte Chemical Indonesia (LCI) has obtained Integrated Management System (IMS) certification from British Standards Institution (BSI) Group Indonesia. The certification encompasses three international standards: ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. The issued certificate has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), thereby meeting both national and international recognition standards. Lotte Chemical Indonesia achieved the certification after undergoing a two-stage audit process conducted by BSI. The audit included evaluation of company documents, effectiveness of procedure implementation, and conformity of management system application in product quality control, environmental compliance, and occupational safety practices. The audit was carried out in an integrated manner with the scope of assessment covering the head office and site office for petrochemical manufacturing activities. Based on the audit results, the company was declared to have met all required assessment parameters. President Director of Lotte Chemical Indonesia, Yim Dong Hee, stated that the achievement reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening work systems and operational governance in accordance with international standards. “Obtaining this certification is proof that LCI’s work systems and culture continue to be strengthened according to internationally recognised standards. Through the implementation of the three ISO standards, the company ensures that all operational processes run more consistently, measurably, and in a documented manner. The implementation covers product quality control, environmental impact management, and protection of workforce safety and health. According to Yim, the certification obtained is not merely an administrative achievement, but part of the company’s continuous efforts to maintain operational quality and business governance. “Going forward, we will continue to ensure the management system implementation runs consistently through periodic surveillance audits and continuous improvement,” he said.
