Qualcomm announces Snapdragon C processor for entry-level laptops

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has announced the Snapdragon C Platform processor designed to deliver modern computing experiences on entry-level laptops for students, families, and small business operators. According to a press release received on Friday, the Snapdragon C offers responsive performance, a cool and quiet device design, and all-day battery life on entry-level laptops priced from US$300 (approximately Rp5.3 million). The platform supports daily activities such as web browsing, video streaming, and productivity tasks, and features an integrated neural processing unit (NPU) to bring artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to the entry-level laptop segment. Kedar Kondap, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Compute and Gaming at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., said the Snapdragon C combines high-value computing, all-day battery life, AI capabilities, and responsive performance in a cool and quiet device. He added that the platform aims to expand access to power-efficient and reliable computing technology for students, families, and small businesses interacting directly with customers. ‘We are delivering modern computing experiences that help our ecosystem reach new audiences while expanding access to reliable, power-efficient technology for students, families, small businesses engaging with customers, and other sectors,’ he said. Qualcomm stated that devices powered by the Snapdragon C platform are expected to be available in the market by the end of 2026.
