Houses in Pandeglang, Banten, cracked when a powerful
earthquake rocked Jakarta and its surrounding areas on Oct. 25.
The tremor reportedly could be felt as far as Singapore.

I was surprised and at the same time curious as to what would
happen if a more powerful earthquake rocked the city? Obviously,
everything would be in a mess.

So, the National Earthquake Center of the Meteorological and
Geophysical Agency (BMG) should again actively inform the
community of anything related to earthquake matters. The
community needs to be told about why an earthquake happens and
whether it can be predicted or not. In this way, the community
can act properly should an earthquake again hit us.
