Qom and Ilam in Iran Attacked by the United States and Israel

Tehran (ANTARA) - The cities of Qom in central Iran and Ilam in the western part of the country were attacked by the United States and Israel, according to Tasnim News Agency on Friday. The attack on Ilam destroyed a large number of residential buildings, while three districts in Qom were affected by the strike, according to the agency. No further details were provided about the attack. On 28 February, the United States and Israel launched attacks against numerous targets in Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. The attack killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran subsequently responded by striking Israeli territory and several U.S. military bases across the Middle East.
