Qodari Says Indonesia Increasingly Trusted Globally After Three World Leaders Visit in One Week

Head of the Government Communication Body (Bakom RI), Muhammad Qodari, stated that the visits of three world leaders to Indonesia for bilateral meetings with President Prabowo Subianto are proof that Indonesia is increasingly trusted as an important partner on the global stage. Qodari said the series of visits reflects the international community’s view of Indonesia as a country with economic resilience and political stability, which are essential foundations for building mutually beneficial cooperation. “The intensity of these meetings reflects the strengthening of international trust in Indonesia as a strategic partner, both at the regional and global levels,” Qodari explained in a statement on Tuesday, 14 July 2026. He detailed the three visits and the resulting cooperation agreements, noting that the leaders came from different regions, demonstrating Indonesia’s consistency in building strong networks of friendship and partnership with various countries. First, on Thursday, 2 July 2026, Prabowo received Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. The meeting opened opportunities for cooperation in the industrial, heavy equipment, and technology sectors, as well as strengthening economic relations with the Eurasian region. Both countries also launched the Indonesia–Belarus Cooperation Strengthening Roadmap 2026–2030 as a joint framework to enhance more concrete cooperation over the next five years. Second, on Monday, 6 July 2026, Prabowo received a visit from Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. During the meeting, the two countries agreed on 26 cooperation achievements in various fields, ranging from regional economic development and clean energy to the digital economy. “Not only that, in this meeting, the two leaders also discussed various issues and developments at the regional and global levels and emphasised the importance of ASEAN as an anchor of regional stability,” Qodari added. Third, Prabowo met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi the following day. With India, Indonesia not only strengthened economic partnerships but also cooperation in education, institutional strengthening, and people-to-people relations. He noted that the Indonesia-India partnership also covers the cultural sector, reflected in the commitment of both countries to restore the Prambanan Temple Complex.
