Qodari: Prabowo Maintains Strong Relations with Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping

Government Communication Agency (Bakom) Chief Muhammad Qodari stated that President Prabowo Subianto maintains good relations with global superpower leaders. Prabowo, Qodari said, has strong ties with US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“President Prabowo is a unique figure, possibly the only one in the world who maintains excellent relations with major global powers; he has strong ties with Russian President Putin, US President Donald Trump, and Chinese President Xi Jinping,” Qodari said, according to Antara, Sunday 31 May 2026.

Qodari said these positive relations benefit Indonesia, particularly in navigating current global dynamics and supporting national interests in the future. “All these benefits are felt in today’s context and will continue to serve us in the future,” he added.

Qodari assessed that the personal relationships between Prabowo and world leaders are crucial for strengthening international cooperation. He noted that interpersonal ties between heads of state constitute strategic social capital, alongside economic and political capital, in building mutually beneficial partnerships.

“Social capital is equally important as other forms of capital, whether economic or political, in fostering positive international relations and cooperation,” he explained.

He added that Prabowo’s global social capital is expected to further bolster Indonesia’s position in diplomatic, trade, investment, and strategic partnerships with various countries.
