Qoala Plus Holds Qonnect+ Event to Strengthen Insurance Ecosystem Readiness for 2026
Qoala Plus held Qonnect+ 2026, themed ‘Be a Super Agent’, as an educational forum to distribute insurance products through partnerships. The event was conducted in five cities: Bandung, Surabaya, Semarang, Medan, and Jakarta.
Through Qonnect+ 2026, Qoala Plus educates participants on the broader outlook for the general insurance industry and the drivers of premium growth and the dynamics of general insurance companies in 2025.
Additionally, partners are equipped with potential regulatory updates to watch in 2026 that could influence business behavior in the insurance sector. These include increases in the minimum paid-up capital for insurance companies, agency licensing, and developments in compulsory motor vehicle insurance.
Product literacy remains a key focus. The education program is part of Qoala Plus, a unit of PT Mitra Jasa Pratama, an insurance broker registered with OJK, aimed at continuously improving product literacy and compliance with Indonesian insurance regulations.
“We understand that the past year has been challenging for the insurance industry, with regulatory changes, market dynamics, and rising customer expectations for products and services,” said Tirto Utomo, Head of Business Qoala Plus, in Bandung on Friday (6/3).
Through Qonnect+, the company commits to equipping partners to better navigate 2026’s economic dynamics and regulatory compliance changes within the insurance industry, and to inform them of features in the Qoala Plus app developed in 2025 and planned for 2026.
“We hope Qoala Plus partners can maximise the economic opportunities from distributing insurance products, supported by Qoala Plus services and technology,” he added.
Motor vehicle insurance: To enhance service for partners, Qoala Plus has introduced several features in motor vehicle insurance, covering the policy issuance through to the claims process.
Additionally, for employee health insurance, Artificial Intelligence adoption will be a key feature development in 2026 to help Qoala Plus partners work faster, more effectively and efficiently, becoming more productive.
In 2025, Qoala Plus focused on serving insurance needs for individuals and/or corporates. Thousands of policies have been distributed, including motor vehicle, property, cargo, group health and employee health insurance, and heavy equipment insurance.
Qoala Plus, whose brokerage activities are conducted by PT Mitra Jasa Pratama, has earned several recognitions as one of Indonesia’s largest insurance brokers in 2024 and 2025. The company was also listed in CNBC and Statista’s World’s Top 30 Insurtech Companies.
