The large-scale trade exhibition for the wood and furniture industry, the Indonesia Forestry and Woodworking Machinery Expo (Indowood Expo), is being held again at Grand City Convex, Surabaya, East Java, from Thursday (4/6/2026) to Saturday (6/6/2026). The exhibition serves as a space for wood and furniture industry players to observe technological developments, establish business partnerships, and open new market opportunities. In 2025, Indowood Expo was attended by 100 exhibitors from 72 companies and 11 countries. The exhibition was visited by 3,349 attendees, predominantly from the furniture and craft industry. This year, the exhibition will showcase various latest innovations and technologies, such as 3D scanning machines, automatic drilling systems, modern coating technologies, fire prevention systems, and automation solutions to improve production efficiency. There will also be industry seminars and discussions covering developments in production technology, design, and finishing for furniture and crafts. The presence of industry players from various countries opens opportunities for collaboration, technology transfer, and investment for national businesses aiming for the global market. At Indowood Expo 2026, industry players can also directly access financing through the Government Programme Credit, namely the Labour-Intensive Industry Credit (KIPK) with an effective interest rate of 6 per cent per annum, disbursed through BRI. This facility can be used to revitalise industrial machinery and equipment. Industry players can directly purchase the machinery or equipment exhibited at Indowood Expo. Consequently, business productivity can increase, product competitiveness can be maintained, and employment can be expanded. The requirements for applying for KIPK, based on Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Regulation No. 4 of 2025, are as follows: having a viable productive business; possessing a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP); possessing a Business Identification Number (NIB); being an active participant in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan; having operated the business for a minimum of 2 years in a labour-intensive industry; having employed an average of at least 50 workers over the last 12 months; having a good feasibility assessment result; and not currently receiving other government business credit programmes simultaneously. There are additional criteria according to Ministry of Industry Regulation No. 34 of 2025: meeting business licensing commitments; having a SIINas account; submitting industry data through SIINas; and having fulfilled tax obligations for at least the last 1 tax year. All requirements will be validated by BRI. Besides presenting a financing solution, BRI is also providing the QLola by BRI service to exhibition visitors. Amidst increasingly dynamic business needs, the digitalisation of financial management has become an important factor in maintaining smooth company operations. Therefore, QLola by BRI is present as an integrated digital platform that helps business and corporate customers manage various transaction needs and banking services in one ecosystem. Through a single login, users can access various services that support company operational activities more practically, such as Financial Dashboard, Single and Mass Fund Transfer, Payroll, Billing Payment, Virtual Account, Liquidity Management, Supply Chain Management, Trade Finance and Bank Guarantees. To access QLola by BRI, business owners must have a BRI business account, such as BritAma Bisnis, Simpedes Usaha, or Giro. The presence of KIPK and QLola by BRI at Indowood Expo 2026 is expected to assist business players in increasing production capacity and managing their businesses more effectively.
