Qatari Deputy PM and Defence Minister Visits Indonesian Ministry of Defence

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Qatar, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani, visited the Indonesian Ministry of Defence in Central Jakarta on Monday (1/6/2026). Sheikh Saoud arrived at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Field of the Ministry of Defence at approximately 10:00 WIB.

During the visit, the Indonesian Minister of Defence welcomed Sheikh Saoud, after which both officials proceeded to the podium. The national anthems of Qatar and Indonesia were played in honour of the visit. Following the ceremony, Sheikh Saoud, accompanied by the Indonesian Minister of Defence, conducted an inspection of the troops, pausing at the centre of the formation in front of the flags held by Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel.
