Qantas, BA offer special rates

JAKARTA: Qantas and British Airways announced "Global Offer"
airfares for Indonesian travelers to Australia, New Zealand, the
United Kingdom and Europe on Thursday.

Indonesian visitors to Australia are offered one return flight
domestic fare either within Australia or within New Zealand for
US$1 or $10 respectively, in addition to the cost of a 60-day
excursion fare from Jakarta or Denpasar to Sydney, Melbourne or
Brisbane.

For families of Indonesian students in Australia, the "Student
Special Companion Offer" provides travel to Sydney, Melbourne,
Brisbane or Adelaide for $495, or $339 to Perth.

Other discount packages are available for Indonesian travelers
to explore European cities.

Qantas and British Airways General Manager for Indonesia,
Geoff Brown, said the airfares targeted students and business
travelers, as well as those seeking an affordable overseas
