JAKARTA (Waspada.id): Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani stated that investment realisation for Q1 2026 increased to Rp 497 trillion, compared to Rp 465 trillion for the same period last year.

This means that the Q1 2026 investment realisation reflects a contribution of 24.3% towards the national investment target for the entire year. Or it grew by approximately 7% annually,” he said during a meeting with Commission XII of the House of Representatives on Monday (13/4/2026).

The head of Danantara explained that 30.2% or Rp 150.1 trillion of the total investment from January to March 2026 came from downstreaming or downstreaming of natural resource (SDA) projects.

According to him, the largest contributing countries for investment are still dominated by Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, and the United States (US).

From the perspective of job absorption, this investment realisation is estimated to have absorbed 627,036 workers.

“That number grew by 5.5% (year on year/YoY) from the same period last year, which was 594,104 workers,” Rosan explained.

He said that this investment realisation achievement is still provisional because the government is awaiting final data until mid-April.

Rosan is optimistic that, based on current developments, the investment target for the first three months of this year can be achieved.

He admitted that although the global geopolitical situation remains full of challenges, investor interest in investing in Indonesia remains steady.

Political stability, security, and a conducive investment climate are the main factors attracting global investors.

Rosan stated that the national investment target for 2026 is set at Rp 2,041.3 trillion. This target refers to Presidential Regulation Number 117 of 2025 on the 2026 Government Work Plan (RKP).

In the long term, the government also targets accumulated investment of around Rp 13,032.8 trillion to support national economic growth, in line with the development direction in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025–2029.
